Watercolor Paintings by artist Diane Dubreuil

This beautiful ice house has recently been rebuilt. It sits just off the road and is a favorite place for artists to paint. This was painted on a spring morning. It was surprisingly hot that day, and the painting nearly painted itself. It was one of those times when the weather conditions were perfect for watercolor painting. I started this painting with a very wet paper, painting around the lightest areas. After about an hour the paper was nearly dry, and I added the reds and a couple of dark touches.
