"Katahdin Falls"

Baxter State Park in Maine is one of the most beauritul places to paint. Many well-known artists have painted there. The park has some truly wilderness areas and features lakes, meadows, mountains and woods. When I was very little, my family traveled from Lewiston (where I grew up) to the great north woods of Maine and we camped. I still love to camp out in the area and look forward to my visits. I climbed up the path along the falls to find a place to paint this. This is just a piece of the falls, maybe a sixth. The rocks were covered with moss and lichen. I need to practice painting waterfalls, but this painting does have a graphic appeal and shouts "waterfall" with a volume that matches the sound of the day.

Prices are quoted for unframed paintings. No framed paintings will be shipped. Shipping fees and tax will be added to price of painting. Connecticut and Maine residents add sales tax. Hand delivery may be arranged within 50 miles of my location.
